I am purchasing a new computer. How can I install METACOM on it?
Download version
Download METACOM 9 Desktop again from the download portal. To do this, use the instructions and the access data of your license document.
The download file is a compressed folder with the file extension .zip. After downloading, the file must first be unpacked. After that you can install METACOM 9 Desktop. Installation instructions are included in the download package.
If the old computer is still functional, remove METACOM on it by deleting the icon folder and uninstalling MetaSearch.
DVD version
Insert the METACOM 9 Desktop DVD into the drive of the new computer and install according to instructions. If the old computer is still functional, remove METACOM on it by deleting the icon folder and uninstalling MetaSearch.
