In documents of the Flexible Grid type, lines can be created using text boxes. Create a field with the setting No border, Layout > Custom, Text > 100%.
Horizontal lines
For a continuous line, type underscores in the field, dots for dotted lines, and dashes for dashed lines.
The position of the line within the text box can be varied using the vertical and horizontal alignment settings. The line thicknesses, dot sizes and dot/ dash spacing can be varied using the font properties settings (normal/bold, size).
Vertical lines
For a continuous or dashed line, type in the field: capital letter "i", line break, capital letter "i", line break, etc. By decreasing the line spacing, a dashed line becomes a solid line.
For a dotted line, type: dot, line break, dot, line break, etc.
