MetaSearch functions

    Workspace Search

    • keyword search to find symbols
    • group symbols into collections and highlight them with visible tags
    • filter search results by categories (topics) or collections
    • export found symbols to clipboard via drag-and-drop or copy to use them in other application programs

    Workspace Modify

    • search symbols or import images
    • flip, rotate, combine, add colored backgrounds, frames and text to symbols or imported images
    • Save or export customized symbols or imported images for access via My symbols

    Workspace Documents

    • create documents of the type Write with symbols, Flexible grid or Alternatives plan.
    • open, edit, save documents as a file with the extension .metadf
    • Store documents for access via My templates and use them as templates

    Workspace Menu

    • Show Manual
    • Link symbol folders to MetaSearch or view and edit current link
    • Create, name, label, show/hide, delete, export, import Collections
    • Settings for MetaSearch updates and error reports 
    • view and change locations for My symbols and My templates
    • set Language for symbols: English, French, German, Italian, Swedish, Spanish (user interface and manual are in German for German language setting, in English for all other language settings).
