The installation package of METACOM 9 Desktop includes an installation guide and a manual in PDF format. Use the documents if you have any questions. You can also access the manual within MetaSearch (green toolbar > Menu > Manual). 

Check if your question is answered on this web page "METACOM Fragen & Antworten". Enter appropriate keywords in the search box located at the top of this web page.

Please describe the problem very precisely:

  • Which operating system do you use?
  • Which METACOM version do you use? (> Find the METACOM version number)
  • Is this a server installation?
  • What is the license key?
  • In case of installation problems: Did you obtain the license on DVD or as a download?
  • In case of installation problems of download licenses: What is the size of the downloaded file?
  • Where does the problem occur?
  • What error message appears (please include a screenshot)?
  • What exactly happens?
  • How often does the problem occur (always, once in a while...)?
  • What did you do before or during the occurrence of the problem?
  • Which solution attempts have you already tried (restart...)?
